Four generations of industrial operation
IEPCO is the current chapter of an industrial enterprise whose heritage spans Cuba, Panama, and the United States across four generations. The firm’s lineage traces to the integrated steel industry in Cuba, where the founding families completed La Antillana de Acero in 1958 in partnership with a major United States steel manufacturer. At the time of its completion it was the first, largest, and most technologically advanced integrated steel mill in the Caribbean.
Following a change in operating conditions in 1960, the founding families re-established their industrial operations from a United States base. In 1978 the firm took its modern form in Miami, supplying pipe, valves, and fittings to infrastructure and energy projects throughout the region. Its current operating entity was incorporated in Florida in 2016, continuing the industrial supply business the family established nearly five decades earlier.
Today IEPCO operates as a strategic procurement partner to international energy companies, EPC contractors, national water and sanitation authorities, and infrastructure programs financed by international development institutions. It carries a four-generation industrial lineage forward.
